Anbesol Liquid, 10ml

Anbesol Liquid for Targeted Oral Pain Relief in Babies and Adults

Anbesol Liquid is available in 10ml bottles and offers targeted oral pain relief from mouth ulcers, denture irritation, and also teething where non-medicinal methods have not provided relief.

It’s sugar-free and suitable for use in adults and babies. Anbesol liquid is a pharmacy product – Always read the label. For short-term use of no more than 7 days. For children from age 5 months

How Anbesol Liquid works

Anbesol Liquid contains 0.9%w/w of lidocaine hydrochloride, 0.1%w/w of chlorocresol and 0.02%w/w of cetylpyridinium chloride.

Lidocaine hydrochloride is a local anaesthetic that works by stopping the sensation of pain. Chlorocresol and cetylpyridinium chloride kill bacteria.

Anbesol Liquid is used to help relieve pain and discomfort associated with teething, in children from 5 months of age, when other non-medicinal methods such as massaging of the gums or use of teething rings do not provide necessary relief.

The product may also be used by adults, children, and the elderly for the temporary relief of pain caused by recurrent mouth ulcers and denture irritation.

It’s sugar-free and suitable for use in adults and babies. Anbesol liquid is a pharmacy product – Always read the label. For short-term use of no more than 7 days. For children from age 5 months.

What is Mouth Ulcers?

Mouth ulcers are common and should clear up on their own within a week or 2. They’re rarely a sign of anything serious, but may be uncomfortable to live with.

Mouth ulcers need time to heal and there’s no quick fix.

Avoiding things that irritate your mouth ulcer should help:

  • speed up the healing process
  • reduce pain
  • reduce the chance of it returning

DO

  • use a soft-bristled toothbrush

  • drink cool drinks through a straw

  • eat softer foods

  • get regular dental check-ups

  • eat a healthy, balanced diet

DON’T

  • do not eat very spicy, salty or acidic food

  • do not eat rough, crunchy food, such as toast or crisps

  • do not drink very hot or acidic drinks, such as fruit juice

  • do not use chewing gum

  • do not use toothpaste containing sodium lauryl sulphate
