Corsodyl Gum Problem Treatment Spray, 60 ml

For bleeding gums, mouth hygiene, gum healing, mouth ulcers & denture sore mouth.

Corsodyl Spray features a handy pump action nozzle for anyone who has difficulty rinsing with a mouthwash. Available in a mint flavour, it is an intensive treatment to treat and prevent gum disease (gingivitis), such as red, swollen and bleeding gums.

Corsodyl Spray antimicrobial formulation is clinically proven to treat the first stage of gum disease, gingivitis, and is designed as a short-term treatment, to be used alongside a good daily oral care routine.

It’s important to act fast to prevent symptoms of gingivitis, like bleeding, red or swollen gums, from eventually developing into the irreversible second stage of gum disease, periodontitis, which can, ultimately, cause tooth loss.

Corsodyl Spray features a spray action which is especially effective for anyone needing to target specific areas of the mouth or who prefer not to use mouthwash. It can also be used to help gums to heal following dental surgery.

Corsodyl Spray, the active ingredient, chlorhexidine digluconate for the treatment of early signs of gum disease. Always read the  Patient Information leaflet.

Side Effects

Corsodyl Spray Side Effects

  • Temporary taste disturbance.
  • Burning, tingling or numb sensation in the mouth.
  • Temporary staining of the tongue (goes away when you stop using the spray).
  • Brown staining of the teeth. This is not permanent and can largely be avoided by brushing the teeth with toothpaste (but see above), or in the case of dentures, using a conventional denture cleaner. Avoiding drinking tea, coffee or red wine, especially in the hour after using the spray, can also help prevent staining. Where normal brushing is not possible, or if any staining remains, your teeth may need scaling and polishing by your dentist after you’ve finished using the spray.
  • Peeling of the inside of the mouth.
  • Swelling of the salivary glands.
  • If the spray causes soreness, irritation or swelling in your mouth, or any breathing difficulties, you should stop using it and get advice from your pharmacist, doctor or dentist.

digluconate or any of the other ingredients (listed in Section 6).
