Do not use Dermacort:
• if you have had an allergy to any creams or ointments in the past
• on the eyes or face
• on the ano-genital region
• on broken or infected skin, including cold sores, acne and athlete’s foot
• if you think you may be pregnant
• in children under 10 years of age without medical advice.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Dermacort
Dermacort contains propylene glycol which may cause skin irritation.
HOW TO STORE DERMACORT
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use Dermacort after the expiry date which is stamped on the tube and the carton.
The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
Dermacort should be stored in a cool, dry place (below 25°C).
Side Effects
Possible side effects of Dermacort Hydrocortisone Cream
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
You may find that your condition gets worse during treatment, you may be allergic to the
cream or have a skin infection. lf this happens stop using the cream and contact your
doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible.
Steroid withdrawal reaction:
If used continuously for prolonged periods a withdrawal reaction may occur on stopping
treatment with some or all of the following features: redness of the skin which can extend
beyond the initial area treated, a burning or stinging sensation, intense itching, peeling of the
skin, oozing open sores.
Uncommon side effect (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)

What Dermacort contains
The cream does not contain Lanolin.
The active substance in Dermacort is 0.1 % Hydrocortisone.

REDUCES INFLAMMATION AND SORENESS – HC45 cream is a highly effective, fast-acting hydrocortisone cream that provides soothing relief from the symptoms of mild to moderate eczema, insect bites, skin reactions and stings
EFFECTIVE FOR ECZEMA – Hydrocortisone creams are used to treat inflammation caused by eczema. It’s an anti-inflammatory drug that reduces swelling and redness in the skin.
RELIEVES INSECT BITES AND STINGS – The active ingredient in HC45 is hydrocortisone which works as an antihistamine on your body’s immune system to reduce itching and swelling associated with insect bites
72 HOURS OF UNPROTECTED SEX – Levonorgestrel Morning After Pill is an emergency contraceptive that can be used within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected sex or if your usual contraceptive method has failed.
USE AFTER UNPROTECTED SEX – If you have had unprotected sex, take Levonorgestrel Morning After Pill as soon as possible. The sooner you take it, the more effective it will be.
