The most important constituent of toe and finger nails is keratin, which most anti-fungal preparations are unable to penetrate. In most cases fungi grow underneath the nail, which makes it difficult to treat.
Excilor® controls the micro-environment of the nail by acidifying the nail bed. Due to the unique TransActive™ Penetration Technology, Excilor® is able to penetrate the nail therefore ensuring the nail is treated from the inside out. It usually takes a few months before an affected nail looks completely healthy again. On average, a toenail grows 1.5 mm

Excilor® is enriched with glycerol, nail care lipids and biotin. The nail plate has a structure that might be compared to a brick wall with the nail cells serving as “bricks” and the lipids between the cells as “cement”. Fungal nail infections are common. They’re not serious but they can take a long time to treat.
Fungal nail infections usually affect your toenails, but you can get them on your fingernails, too.

You’re more likely to get an infection if you wear trainers for a long time and have hot, sweaty feet.
To prevent fungal nail infections:

wear clean socks every day
wear flip-flops in showers at the gym or pool
throw out old shoes

Clean the nail and if wearing nail varnish remove completely before using Excilor®.
Use the applicator to coat the complete nail and underneath the nail rim with the product. Make sure you apply Excilor® generously twice a day (once in the morning and once in the evening). For the best results treat the infected area for a minimum of 3 months. It is recommended to continue treatment until the healthy nail has re-grown.
Allow the nail to dry (1 to 2 minutes) before putting on socks and/or shoes. (After each application, you can use your usual nail polish or lacquer, but don’t forget to remove the nail polish before the next treatment).
Make sure the applicator is properly closed after each treatment to prevent evaporation.
Regularly cut your nails.
The applicator contains fluid for approximately 400 treatments.
